Nicholas S. Pappas | C.E.O./President – View Nick’s Blog of Life, Business, and Information Technology
Nick Pappas, C.E.O. founded Pappas Development Group in November 2000. Originally starting out as a “home” computer repair store, Nick has now geared PDG toward small business. Incorporated in 2005 he has grown the company into a local area leader for website development & information technology services. Nick specializes in web development including content management systems & Google search engine optimization. Nick has installed many types of equipment ranging from phone systems to network file servers and continues to invest his time learning and implementing the latest technologies. His aggressiveness to learn keeps him the first one out of the gate in latest trends. Nick has strong ties in the local community and small business environment and has developed relationships with many of today’s leading firms based in Johnstown, PA.
In 2009 Pappas Development Group, Inc & Nicholas S. Pappas founded 2Nitelife Entertainment, Inc. Mr.Pappas was also awarded private financing which provided 2Nitelife.com with the development resources and support from Earnware Corporation to take the company nationwide. Earnware Corporation is the developer of the flagship health community http://Wellness.com and the popular motorcycle racing portal http://Supercross.com.
John L. Muscatello | Chief Financial Officer
After retiring from the restaurant business 13 years ago, John L. Muscatello developed an interest in the technology field. To satisfy his curiosity John purchased a new home system from Pappas Development Group, Inc. After spending countless hours searching the web and researching different fields John consulted with Nicholas S. Pappas, president of Pappas Development Group, Inc. The two devised a strategy to take the Pappas Company from a generally local presence to a nationwide leader in IT & development services.
In 2009, Pappas Development Group, Inc. offered John a partnership and a seat on the board with the company. With this partnership John & Nick both formed 2 Separate entities: MyJohnstownPA.com & Eventway/2NiteLife Entertainment Inc. While developing the MyJohnstownPA.com site, which is a hub for local communities, business, and events, the team noticed an opportunity specifically in the nightlife & events category. Pappas Development Group, Inc along with the team of Earnware Corporation located in Carlsbad, CA owner of the flagship health & wellness community Wellness.com, developed Eventway Corporation (http://eventway.com) a Social Networking & nightlife site.
John L. Muscatello along with Nicholas S. Pappas are both confident that in the future both companies will lead the way to larger online properties & community growth. Currently a management team of 3 Employees makes up Pappas Development Group, Inc. and has corporate headquarters in Johnstown, PA.
Shane Rovansek | Vice President – Operations
Shane is Vice President of Operations here at PDG. He brings his experience from the Information Technology field and a Degree in Network Hardware and Troubleshooting. His education was a combined attendance at ITT Technical Institute in Pittsburgh and Penn Highlands Community College in Ebensburg. Shane started his path to PDG at Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown. He worked as an intern in the Information Systems Department as part of his final assignment for college. Here he learned to work on equipment containing sensitive medical data and also installed/replaced workstations and worked with switches and wireless networks. Along the way, he learned and worked heeding the many privacy regulations and standards of the Health Care Industry.
Once his education was completed, Shane moved to Pittsburgh and became a Help Desk/Database Technician for MarketPlace Direct, a mailing/design company in Pittsburgh. Shane learned many of the standards of the US Postal Service, how it implements technology, and he was also responsible for keeping 50+ user workstations inventoried, updated, and running efficiently for the company.
After a whole year in Pittsburgh, Shane resigned and moved back home to Johnstown. He started a family, purchased a home, and began to further his ambitions in the IT world. During this time, Shane had been working for Atlantic Broadband as an Internet/Phone Specialist. His main focus was helping customers resolve issues with home/business phone and internet systems.
After resigning from Atlantic Broadband in May, Shane ended his 6 month part-time status at PDG and came on full-time as Vice President of the Company. He has since been a part of projects like MyJohnstownPA.com, WindberRumbles.com, and many others. He is on-call 24/7 to help our customers.
In his off time, Shane enjoys spending time with his family as well as taking roadtrips, learning to play hockey, and keeping up with new technologies.
Randy L. Parks | Information Systems Technician
Randy is PDG’s first Information Systems Intern. He attended ITT Technical Institute in Monroeville, PA and graduated in September with an Associates degree in Information Technology. Randy is always excited to learn new things and he enjoys being involved with any kind of technology as he strives to keep up to date with the tech world. That is why Randy has chosen to work with Pappas Development Group Inc. since the company is always up to date on anything and everything technology.
On Randy’s off time he enjoys working on his own computers and hanging out with friends. Randy is training with the guidance of President Nick Pappas and VP Shane Rovansek to further his skills and ambitions in the IT World and joined the Team at PDG as a full time Information Systems Technician in September 2009.
